SWET hands out £14,000 in CPD funding

BASW’s Social Workers Educational Trust awarded £14,000 worth of grants for applicants seeking to further their learning during 2010/11, including £2,000 to assist UK social workers in an exchange visit to Russia and 37 awards of no more than £350. SWET also handed out its annual £1,500 awards for successful applicants to the Anne Cummins Memorial Award and SWET Research Scholarship.

Chair Catherine Poulter said SWET had been through a difficult year because of the departure of a key figure in the Trust’s activities but that its management had now been stabilised and plans were in place for the year ahead.
