How to apply
You can join using our online signup form or by downloading and printing the application form Please refer to the membership fee table below and enclose the relevant amount with cheques made out to "British Association of Social Workers". We also accept debit and credit card payments.
Independent Social Workers (available to existing members only)
We offer enhanced membership packages specifically aimed at Social Workers in Independent practice in addition to the £2 million cover you receive as part of your BASW membership in a working category:
Independent - £5 million Professional Indemnity cover available at £5/month
Independent Plus - £5 million Professional Indemnity and £5 million Public Liability cover available at £15/month
