Age Platform Europe
AGE Platform Europe is a European network of around 165 organisations of and for people aged 50+ representing directly over 30 million older people in Europe. Its work focuses on a wide range of policy areas that impact on older and retired people. These include issues of anti-discrimination, employment of older workers and active ageing, social protection, pension reforms, social inclusion, health, elder abuse, intergenerational solidarity, research, accessibility of public transport and of the build environment, and new technologies (ICT). The Platform takes also active part in several EU projects. The majority of these projects are funded by the 7th Framework Programme. The purpose of its work is to voice and promote the interests of the 150 million inhabitants aged 50+ in the European Union and to raise awareness of the issues that concern them most. AGE seeks to give a voice to older and retired people in the EU policy debates, through the active participation of their representative organisations at EU, national, regional and local levels, and provides a European platform for the exchange of experience and best practices. It also aims to inform older people on their rights as EU citizen or resident and on EU policy making processes and recent EU policy development.
Agenda 21
Humanity stands at a defining moment in history. We are confronted with a perpetuation of disparities between and within nations, a worsening of poverty, hunger, ill health and illiteracy, and the continuing deterioration of the ecosystems on which we depend for our well-being. However, integration of environment and development concerns and greater attention to them will lead to the fulfilment of basic needs, improved living standards for all, better protected and managed ecosystems and a safer, more prosperous future. No nation can achieve this on its own; but together we can - in a global partnership for sustainable development.

Autism Europe
Autism-Europe aisbl is an international association whose main objective is to advance the rights of persons with autism and their families and to help them improve their quality of life. Autism-Europe ensures effective liaison among more than 80 member associations of parents of persons with autism in 30 European countries, including 20 Member States of the European Union, governments and European and international institutions. Autism-Europe plays a key role in raising public awareness, and in influencing the European decision-makers on all issues relating to autism, including the promotion of the rights of people with autism and other disabilities involving complex dependency needs. To maximise our impact on EU policies, Autism-Europe works in strategic coalitions with organisations that share the same concerns and goals. These include the European Disability Forum (EDF), the Platform of European Social NGOs and the European Coalition for Community Living (ECCL). Autism Europe is a founder member of these organisations and currently holds the vice presidency of EDF.
CFAB – Children and Families Across Borders
Children and Families Across Borders (CFAB) is a unique UK-based charity which identifies and protects children who have been separated from family members as a consequence of trafficking, abduction, migration, divorce, conflict and asylum, as well as other vulnerable individuals in often desperate circumstances.
CHAIN
CHAIN is a successful online mutual support network of more than 10,000 people working in health and social care. The Network originated 14 years ago in the NHS Research & Development programme in England. It is multi-professional and cross organisational, and is designed to connect like-minded health and social care practitioners, educators, researchers and managers.

CAE promotes Action as the means of abuse intervention and prevention. Action in the form of reaching out for help, making a call, reporting a suspicion, arresting a behaviour, reporting the location of an abuser, learning about this insidious crime.
Child Rights International Network
Guided by our passion for social and legal change, CRIN is building a global network for children's rights. We press for rights, not charity, and advocate for a genuine systemic shift in how governments and societies view children. Our inspiration is the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), which we use to bring children's rights to the top of the international agenda. We launch advocacy campaigns, lead international children's rights coalitions, and strive to make existing human rights enforcement mechanisms accessible for all.
Chronic Poverty Research Centre
The Chronic Poverty Research Centre (CPRC) was an international partnership of universities, research institutes and NGOs, which completed its ten-year programme in 2011. Our research has deepened understanding of the causes of chronic poverty, and provided analysis and policy guidance on the reduction of chronic poverty.

Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women
The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), adopted in 1979 by the UN General Assembly, is often described as an international bill of rights for women. Consisting of a preamble and 30 articles, it defines what constitutes discrimination against women and sets up an agenda for national action to end such discrimination. The Convention defines discrimination against women as "...any distinction, exclusion or restriction made on the basis of sex which has the effect or purpose of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or exercise by women, irrespective of their marital status, on a basis of equality of men and women, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural, civil or any other field."
Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
The Convention follows decades of work by the United Nations to change attitudes and approaches to persons with disabilities. It takes to a new height the movement from viewing persons with disabilities as "objects" of charity, medical treatment and social protection towards viewing persons with disabilities as "subjects" with rights, who are capable of claiming those rights and making decisions for their lives based on their free and informed consent as well as being active members of society.
Council of Europe
The Council of Europe, based in Strasbourg (France), now covers virtually the entire European continent, with its 47 member countries. Founded on 5 May 1949 by 10 countries, the Council of Europe seeks to develop throughout Europe common and democratic principles based on the European Convention on Human Rights and other reference texts on the protection of individuals.

Decent Work Agenda
Work is central to people's well-being. In addition to providing income, work can pave the way for broader social and economic advancement, strengthening individuals, their families and communities. Such progress, however, hinges on work that is decent. Decent work sums up the aspirations of people in their working lives.

Education for All
The Education for All (EFA) movement is a global commitment aimed at ensuring quality basic education for all children, youths and adults. The movement was launched at the World Conference on Education for All in 1990 by 155 countries and international organisations, including UNESCO. It was here that participants pledged to universalise primary education and substantially reduce illiteracy by the end of the decade. With many countries still a long way from reaching this goal, the international community’s commitment to achieving EFA was upheld when they met again at the World Education Forum in Dakar, Senegal, in 2000. They identified six key education goals which aim to meet the learning needs of all children, youths and adults by the year 2015. UNESCO currently leads global efforts to achieve these goals.

The European Roma Information Office (ERIO) is an international advocacy organisation that promotes political and public discussion on Roma issues by providing factual and in-depth information on a range of policy issues to European Union institutions, Roma civil organisations, governmental authorities and intergovernmental bodies. ERIO cooperates with a large network of organisations and acts to combat racial discrimination and social exclusion by raising awareness, lobbying and developing policy. ERIO aims to combat racist discrimination against Roma and to contribute to an improved public awareness of the problems faced by Roma communities. It advocates for the rights of Roma people by designing and promoting policies which are oriented towards the improvement of the socio-economic situation and social inclusion of Roma in Europe. Moreover, ERIO promotes the participation of Roma communities in decision-making processes at European, national and local levels. ERIO works to sensitise EU institutions to the importance of developing and ensuring the accessibility of equal opportunities for Roma in EU Member States as well as in Candidate Countries.
