BASW - The College of Social Work

An international profession

BASW recognises that social work is an international profession and that many of the issues and concerns of UK practitioners are shared in other parts of the world. We work with social work associations in other countries, as well as non-governmental organisations, undertaking joint work and sharing good practice wherever possible.

BASW is an active member of the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW), representing the UK abroad and promoting social work as an international profession with core values and a commitment to human rights and social justice across geographical and cultural boundaries.
