A day conference exploring multi-agency system failures and dysfunctional professional relationships. When there is interpersonal conflict between individuals or between organisations, children are at greater risk of abuse.

SPEAKERS: Professor Jan Horwath: Jan will present new research on working together and discuss promoters and inhibitors to effective multidisciplinary practice. Oliver James: one of the UK’s most well-known psychologists, will explore themes from his new publication Office Politics – How to thrive in a world of lying, backstabbing and dirty tricks. Oliver will suggest practical ways individuals and organisations can change the culture of their organisations. Michael Kerman, child psychotherapist with Kids Company will explore ways of helping frontline workers cope when working in child protection. Throughout the day Active Theatrics will illustrate, through drama, critical issues discussed by keynotes.
