NIASW Lifetime Achievement Award

The Northern Ireland Association of Social Workers (NIASW – part of BASW) is looking for members to nominate a colleague for the Lifetime Achievement Award 2012.

This award, established in 2010, is to recognise those members who have worked consistently and steadfastly to improve social work services and/or practice. As a lifetime award, these social workers will have demonstrated leadership or innovation over a period of 15 years or more.

To nominate a colleague you will need to complete a short submission (max 300 words) outlining how your nominee fits the following criteria:

  • Has worked consistently and steadfastly to improve social work services and/or practice over a period of 15 years or more
  • Has made one or more outstanding contributions or a series of significant contributions to advance, promote, or improve social work practice and/or services in Northern Ireland
  • Is a member of NIASW (you can contact NIASW office should you need to check membership status of your nominee).
The deadline for nominations is Wednesday 29 February 2012.
