BASW is the voice of social work, devoting much of its time to campaigning on behalf of all social workers in the UK.

We are firmly established in every country of the UK and in the Isle of Man, giving us unrivalled expertise and understanding of the unique nature of the social work profession. Our constant dialogue with members enables us to campaign powerfully, authoritatively and assertively to the UK government on behalf of thousands of social workers across the UK.
