Robin MoulsterManager - BASW CymruBased in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, Robin is a former accountant who moved into working in residential care for adults with a learning disability, qualifying as a social worker before undertaking a management qualification. His area of expertise is working with adults with a learning disability, and notes a career highlight as the first time he enabled a group of adult people with learning disabilities to move away from an institutional setting to establish their own independent lives in the community. A founder member of the BASW Cymru Committee, Robin received a lifetime achievement award in 2010. He previously won a Business Excellence Award in Bedfordshire for Championing Human Development. |

Gaye SheridanDevelopment Worker - BASW CymruA children and young people’s safeguarding specialist, Gaye is a former children’s social worker and manager, both with local authority and in the voluntary sector. A practice assessor, Gaye has extensive experience in training, policy and quality assurance work. She has an M.Sc. in Training & Human Resource Management, which included a focus on training methods to help social workers record activity with service users on electronic systems. Gaye undertook an observational placement in 2007 with UNICEF in New York as a post-qualifying activity for social work registration. A committed trade unionist, Gaye is a keen supporter of BASW’s Social Workers Union arm, and, as an independent social work consultant when not working part-time for BASW, is also keen to work with independent members to develop their important professional contribution. |
