Now based in Belfast, Anne spent 20 years working in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust before becoming an independent practitioner in 2008. She began her career as a social worker in childcare before moving to older peoples services, becoming team leader, before moving to the training team as an assistant principal social worker.

Anne’s expertise is in adult safeguarding and the field of domestic abuse. She was the first social worker in Northern Ireland to be trained in Achieving Best Evidence (ABE) from vulnerable witnesses in criminal proceedings and was involved in developing the regional adult protection joint protocol with the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), and continues to provide training in these areas. Anne is a PQ Advanced Award holder, with an MA in Professional Development in Social Work.
