General Meetings 2011
General meetings of members of the Association are the means by which members hold Council (BASW’s Directors) to account, vote in new Council members, accept audited accounts and vote upon constitutional issues as well of matters of policy and strategy. An Annual General Meeting of members is held in the spring or summer of each year and Additional General Meetings can be called from time to time.

Download the outcome of motions from the BASW Annual General Meeting 2011.
Members were reminded that the closing date for amendments to Ordinary Motions was 18th May 2011. Amendments to Ordinary Motions must be signed by a proposer, a seconder and at least 18 members of the Association (excluding affiliates) or signed by an officer of the branch or special interest group on the authority of a resolution passed by a duly convened meeting of the branch or special interest group. (Membership numbers must be stated and will be checked).
