Practice: Social Work in Action

Appointment of Editorial Board Members

Practice: Social Work in Action is looking for qualified social workers to contribute to the work of the journal as a member of the Editorial Board.

You may be employed or self-employed, working in practice or management, policy-making, regulation or elsewhere, or you may be recently retired. As its title suggests, the journal is strongly committed to retaining a central focus on practice, and we would particularly welcome applications from people who can bring this perspective to the work of the editorial board.

You would be joining an active and dynamic Editorial Board that is drawn from the four UK countries and is supported by an international advisory board.

Board members are expected to participate fully in the journal’s work including actively promoting it in their networks and at conferences and events, to contribute to and attend the Board meetings, and to assess papers submitted for publication. Members are asked to encourage the submission of papers and to develop new ideas for the journal.

Application Process
If you think you can fulfil these responsibilities and are committed to the aims of the journal, please apply to the Editors with a letter of application outlining your experience of social work and the contribution you can make to Practice: Social Work in Action. Please attach a short CV and send your application by email to: practicejournal@bournemouth.ac.uk

Deadline: 15th April 2013
