The British Association of Social Workers is the leading membership organisation in the UK for social work practitioners. We are seeking an experienced, motivated and creative person to join our Senior Management Team and lead the Association’s membership, finance and HR operations. The postholder will bring a strong awareness of innovative and effective member retention and recruitment strategies, together with the entrepreneurial skills needed to develop new revenue streams and additional member benefits.
The successful candidate will offer the business acumen needed to develop the Association’s financial systems, maximising value for our over 14,000 members. The role will also require strong experience of leading or supporting an HR function, and will suit someone capable of implementing effective and consistent systems and policies in support of our strong staff team, located in our Birmingham headquarters and in other locations across the UK.
This is an exciting challenge for an energetic and ambitious manager able to adapt to the important ethical considerations associated with working for a social work membership organisation.
The postholder will be based at our Birmingham HQ.
